What's a flow field?
In generative art, a flow field is a grid of directional forces that steers noise into organic drifts instead of static. Every layer here follows its own field, and its Texture decides what the field draws: six of them, from Streaks, which shapes density into bands and clusters, through Contours, which draws its level lines, to Streamlines, which traces particles along the directions themselves.

Random rerolls the canvas
One press, or the R key, and every unlocked setting gets a fresh value. It's the fastest way to see what the tool does; the rest of this tour is about steering it.

General holds the canvas settings and Motion; Layer A and Layer B hold each layer's own look.

Each layer has its own settings
Layer A and Layer B each get their own seed, color, density, flow field, and symmetry, so they rarely match.

Pick a size, or tile it
Web, Tablet, and Mobile presets set common dimensions; a phone held upright starts on Mobile so the artwork fills the screen. Tile squares the canvas and mirrors both layers so it repeats with no visible seam.

Mask it into a shape, or a fade
An optional shape mask clips or fades the composition, circle, diamond, vignette, corner or side vignette, or stripes, all dithered rather than sharply cut off at the edge.

Lock a field to keep it
A locked field holds its value through a randomize pass instead of getting a new one. Lock All / Unlock All apply to everything at once, and since neither can be walked back they arm on a one-second hold rather than a press. A tab shows a padlock once any of its fields are locked.

Narrow the range, keep the theme
Palette Range and Density Range constrain how far a randomized color or fill can wander, keeping Auto-randomize inside one tight, cohesive family.

Explore with Auto-randomize
Lock what you like, then slowly unlock the rest while it plays (Space starts and stops it), watching results narrow toward a collection worth keeping. Prefer more control? Skip the button and reach for Random by hand instead.

Undo steps back
Went too far? Undo (or Cmd/Ctrl+Z) walks back through recent passes, whether they came from a press or from autoplay; a GIF export counts as one step, not one per frame. There is no way forward again, so the button arms on a one-second hold. The shortcut is immediate.

Save it, or share a link
Three save slots live in your browser. Loading one, or saving over one that already holds something, arms on a one-second hold, since both replace work you cannot get back; the first save into an empty slot is a plain press. Copy Link encodes the same snapshot, locks and motion included, into a URL anyone can open, and the menu beside it can make that link offer Auto-randomize.

Export PNG, SVG, or GIF
PNG and SVG save the still. A GIF records however many passes you ask for: with Motion off, that is the sequence Auto-randomize would generate, one still per pass, each held for the Reroll every interval. A whole export is capped at 240 frames, so a long one trades smoothness rather than size.

Animate it
Motion, in the General tab, moves the composition instead of replacing it. Loop, Drift, Wind, and Pulse each hold every setting and run one cycle that lands back on its first frame, with no cut. Pick one and the canvas plays it straight away; a cycle lasts as long as the Speed slider under it says. Leave Auto-randomize running as well and each pass rerolls before it animates. The GIF button records whatever you are watching.
